Barn Buddies – Ages 2 to 5
Designed to be a safe, fun and gentle introduction for kids to come to our farm and meet some of the ponies, horses as well as a variety of our petting zoo animals.
We will introduce such things as how to safely approach, groom, and feed the ponies.
If the child is comfortable, we will have a ride on the pony being led by a staff member.
We will play some games on horseback such as Simon says to work in some balance exercises, as well guiding the children to steer the pony through a simple obstacle course.
We will also have the children visit the petting zoo and feed the critters some snacks.
We will save a little time for some games and a craft to take home as a little keepsake of their time at our KCR farm.
Please note parents are welcome to stay for the camp.
